2012 Hairstyle Trends

Glistening and slick back hair. I love how effortless and sexy this hairstyle is. Looks like you just walked out of the shower and did nothing too it.

Anything Poinytails. I have to admit I am not good with poinytails. I have fine hair but a lot of it. By the middle of the day the poinytail has drooped down to the nape of my neck. Quite annoying! However, I do love the hairstyle she is sporting. Sleek and chic.

Urban Wave. Tousled wave are always in. Men always love this hairstyle, effortless bed like hair. My secret is curling my hair the day before and then the next day I still have a little wave.

Intricate buns. Make a bun and add interesting details such as the headpiece above. So glam and unexpected!

Twisted braids. Tired of the normal braid? Try this twisted braid look. Looks beachy and fun.

Side parted hair. I do this hairstyle everyday, so I guess I am right on trend! One of the most easiest hairstyles to do.

With the retro trend, 20's hairstyles are back in. I don't have the length of hair to pull it off but for those that can should at least try it once. It can be so glamorous with a fitted dress or an elegant gown. Adorn it with jewel hair accessories for an evening out.

If you have hair why not do a different hairstyle everyday? There are hundreds of hairstyles to try and some of them are quite easy and quick to do. For example, the first and third hairstyle probably only took 10 minutes to complete. Effortlessly chic! 2012 is all about easy, fun and chic hairstyles. Hairstyles that can take you from day to night. Why not try one of these tomorrow?! If you would like to try out Katy Perry's hairstyle you can visit GHD today!

What is your favorite 2012 hairstyle trend?

P.S. I am being compensated for this post but that does not change my opinion. I am completely honest!

SAG Awards 2012

Favorites

Angelina Jolie

Whatever Angelina wears she looks breathtaking. Not too fond of the dress but she wears it so well.

Ariel Winter

Cute dress and I love the bead and lace detailing.

Lea Michele

Such a sexy gown! She looks stunning.

Natalie Portman

Natalie looks amazing after having a child. And the detailing at the chest is fun and unique.

Naya Rivera

Another sexy dress! The bead work is extraordinary.

Dislikes

Shailene Woods

This dress does nothing for her. Also it's a little old for her. I would like to see something a little sexier or age appropriate for her.

Zoe Saldana

To me it looks like she is wearing a tank top underneath that dress. Not flattering at all.

Mayim Bialik

I don't know where to begin with this dress. First off, the material kind of looks cheap and secondly it looks like a night gown. Not very attractive.

Busy Philipps

What is she wearing?? The print, color, and style is just...ahhh

Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee, let me give you a tip- wear a bra! Her breasts are sagging and the tulle just emphasizes it.

I didn't watch the SAG awards but I did check out the fashion for the award show. I wasn't too impressed with the fashion in the show but I did love certain gowns. My top favorite was Naya Rivera and least favorite was Buys Philipps (who names their child Busy anyways?).

What were your favorites and dislikes from the SAG awards?

Fashion Around the World Series: Hungary

Hungary wedding designer Lebar Barbara

This wedding gown is absolutely stunning. I won't give away what dress I got but it's no where near this shape or style but I absolutely love the beading and neckline.

Designer Klara Kalicz

The jewelry is absolutely amazing! I have never seen anything like it.

Model Eniko Mihalik

Looks like a fairytale! Love the headpiece.

What drew me to this outfit was the shoes. Such an interesting design and make such a statement.

The necklace is stunning and the dress matches perfectly with it.

Street Fashion

I love her boots! Boots are one thing I will miss wearing them when we move to Florida but I keep thinking of all the dresses I will be able to wear. :)

Street Fashion

Such a stunning outfit. Love the belt!

This week's fashion around the world series is on Hungary. I have always been fascinated about Hungary, maybe because it is so mysterious. I always love a place rich with history. The fashion in Hungary is amazing. Very structural and unique. The designers in Hungary design extraordinary collections that I have yet to see other pieces like it elsewhere.

What do you think of fashion in Hungary?

70s revival and a lot of pink

Golden Globes 2011 brought pleasant surprises both awards and fashion wise. Pink is a favorite color for the upcoming season and that was seen on the red carpet. Reddish hue “honeysuckle” seen on Lanvin gown worn by actress Julianne Moore is already nominated as it-color of the season; also lighter pink shades such as pale salmon, coral and ethereal "silver-peony" are also very fashionable.

Golden Globes 2011 red carpet: pink shades

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection, Julianne Moore in Lanvin, Natalie Portman in Viktor&Rolf and Emma Stone also in Calvin Klein

Best styling for pink color is an understated feminine look like these column dresses here with soft draping or a straight/body-conscious tailoring. Leave it to the masters of minimalist sophistication Alber Elbaz from Lanvin and Francisco Costa from Calvin Klein to make this color look ultra stylish.

The styles of 1970s inspired most collections for spring 2011 and it’s great to see the comeback of this dazzling era on the red-carpet.

Golden Globes 2011 red carpet: 70s style long-sleeves

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace, Anne Hathaway in Armani Privé and Leighton Meester in Burberry Prorsum

Most striking were the long-sleeved sequin-adorned gowns though my favorite were the subtle-bejeweled romantic dresses with flutter kimono sleeves and the empire-waist daisy-embroidered Valentino gown seen on actress Michelle Williams evoking a young fashion-icon Mia Farrow.

Golden Globes 2011 red carpet: 70s style bohemian

Sandra Bullock, in Jenny Packham, Scarlett Johansson, in Elie Saab and Michelle Williams, in Valentino

As for the “comeback of the season”, one-shoulder gowns with extravagant pleats and frills still manage to daze the audience with their glamorous look.

Golden Globes 2011 red carpet: one-shoulder gown

Mila Kunis dressed in Vera Wang, Amy Adams in Marchesa and Julie Bowen, in Tadashi Shoji

And last, maybe not the best looks seen on the red carpet at the Golden Globes ceremony, these dresses enchant me for bringing into the present the alluring elegance of my favorite eras “the roaring 20s” and the glamorous 1930s.

Outfit of the Day: It's My Birthday!

Outfit Details:
Blouse and Pencil Skirt: Victoria's Secret
Pumps: Shoedazzle
Necklace: Ebay
Ring: Dorothy's Perkins

Today is my 25th birthday! This is what I wore. I had such a great day. I found a cute bright blue pencil skirt and a pair of flats while shopping today. After shopping we ate out at Red Lobster, one of my favorite restaurants! I also have an order coming in from ASOS with some money I got from my mom. :)
My fiancee got me a gift card for Victoria's Secret. He knows me so well! As you can tell I like wearing their clothing. ;) My dad also got me some gorgeous flowers!

I hope you had a wonderful week!

This dress is absolutely stunning. This is definitely made for the red carpet.

Another stunner. I love the high, low hem.

The animal print and high slit makes this gown ultra sexy.

This dress would be perfect for winter weddings. I love the faux fur shawl!

Another dress that would be perfect for the red carpet. I love the lace detailing at the shoulders.

This dress would work perfectly for formal events. I adore the print and the length is so ladylike.

Monique Lhuillier is known for her elegant gowns and her pre fall 2012 collection definitely shows off her talent. Every piece is exquisitely designed and absolutely gorgeous.
I am loving every piece!

Beach Sexy The Sara Spring Bloom Bikini for $24 and $25

Such a cute little bikini! I love the mix of prints. This bathing suit would be great on a boyish figure.

The Madi Push Up Bandeau Bikini for $30 and $20

Bring out your wild side! This bikini would work great on almost any figure.

Firm Control Twist Front One Piece for $148

For those who don't want to bare it all, one pieces are the best. The plunging neckline is so sexy, perfect for honeymoons and romantic getaways!

Embellished Caftan Dress for $80

Those looking for a little extra glam on the beach, this cover up is perfect. The print and neckline details are stunning.

Plunge Cover Up Tunic for $45

Those looking for a more simpler cover up, this one is perfect. The plunging neckline will show off your bikini and cover up any unwanted tummy bulge or bloatness.

Victoria's Secret is one of my favorite retailers. I love their clothing, lingerie and beach wear. They have such a wide variety of selections and carry sizes 0-16, so there is something for everyone! Their bathing suits are great for those who are busty as well, as us girls need that lift! And it is hard to come by bathing suits that have padding and lift built inside them (that actually do a good job!).

Which one is your favorite from the selection above?
