NATASHA BEDINGFIELD wore a very sheer gown to the 2012 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand on Sunday.
Is it a hit or a miss?
We’ll just say it outright… it’s kind of a miss. Not at all sexy, honestly.
First off, Natasha’s see-through seafoam gown looked very heavy for something made from such sheer fabric, thanks to all the embellishments scattered around the top half to keep it from being too revealing.
It’s actually beautiful, but the point of a sheer gown like this is to give off a light, ethereal vibe, so the fact that it looks heavy is a step back from that goal.
Second, it looks like something an ice skater would wear. It would have been much prettier without the sleeves.
Third, Natasha seems a little too old for something like this. It falls in the area of the likes of Selena Gomez or Taylor Swift.
In addition to all these faults, the singer’s stylingâ€"beachy waves and a coral lipstickâ€"did not go with the dress.
Cascading sideswept curls and a pink lip color would have looked much better with Natasha’s gown.
Criticisms aside, we actually like the dressâ€"except for the sleeves. The color is really beautiful, too.
