Tommy Hilfiger talks ‘American Idol’ contestant fashion; off stage image matters - Examiner

Tommy Hilfiger had some sound advice for the American Idol contestants on Wednesday night. The famous fashion designer reminded the seven remaining contestants on the show they need to be thinking about their image on and off the stage. The style consultant for American Idol shared a point that every star knows in Hollywood. Leaving the house means having the best threads on even if it’s only going to the grocery store.

Giving each contestant some individual time in perking up their style, Tommy Hilfiger shared how colors and image has to be considered.

“I still really believe they are a little cautious. But I think over time they will become more comfortable,” said Tommy Hilfiger about the American Idol contestants. The stylist has been seen week after week giving advice to the contestants on stage, but now he focused on clothes off stage.

Being that the seven American Idol contestants have been thrown into the spotlight week after week, it isn’t surprising the artists are looking to fulfill their images outsides the confine of the competition. Once they find what threads are perfect for their defining style, the fans will see how the style and music blends together in perfection!
