Outfit of the Day: Bright Tribal Prints

Excuse my horrible pedicure...haha

Outfit Details:
Skirt: Forever21
Shoes: Shoedazzle
Tank Top: Old Navy
Bracelets: Forever21
Watch: Wal-Mart

Today was one of those days that I took tons of photos but only 4 (in my opinion) came out good. I hate those days! Anyways, I love this skirt I got from Forever21. It is super comfy and the perfect length. Not too short, not too long. The shoes shown are from Shoedazzle and surprisingly are so comfy! If you love getting a new handbag or pair of shoes every month, check out Shoedazzle! It is only $40 a month too. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

Wants and Desires of the Moment

ASOS Chiffon Maxi Dress with Lace Detailing in Floral Print for $86

This dress is super adorable. I love that it is short in the front and long in the back. There is sheer detailing at the back from the knee down making it a little sexy. The price is a little expensive but I think well worth it.

ASOS tridant leather and wood platform shoe boot for $207

Who is even thinking of wearing shoes like these in the heat? It isn't even half way through summer! However, I am just smitten over these booties. These would look fantastic in the fall with a pair of skinny jeans!

River Island Tooled Satchel for $120.67

You all know I love a little western/country flair. This handbag offers just that and is gorgeous!

Love and Liberty 4 Thais Printed Dress for $298- Free People

I love the print of this dress and how romantic and sweet this dress is too. I could see myself running in a field of flowers with this dress. So cute!

Lace me up print romper for $108- Free People

I have a love, hate relationship with rompers. Some of them are cute, some of them just need to go. Also only a couple look good on me, ones particularly with more of a waist. Like the one above. The print of the romper is my favorite part.

Studio Taupe Suede Lattice Front Laceup Wedges for $140- Top Shop

I am not too big fan of wedges as I think they make my legs look chunky (haha). However, I love the cutout lattice work detailing in the wedge. And I always love the nude colored shoe look!

Botanic Ruffle Dress by Love for $72- Top Shop

This would be perfect for the beach or park! I love the print and the ruffle detailing is just adorable.

Flighty feather hair pin in Brown for $15- Threadsence

I have been eying these for the longest time, I should just buy them. Ever since I saw celebrities wear feathers in their hair I instantly wanted to try it. This is a hair pin which makes it much easier to put it in and no need to keep them in for longer than a day.

So these items are on my wish list at the moment!

What is on your wish list right now?

Outfit of the Day: Feeling Tropical

Outfit of the Day:
Dress and Bracelets: Forever21
Hat: Payless
Sunglasses: WetSeal
Belt: From another dress I own
Sandals: Wal-Mart

I got this dress in the mail today and as soon as I put it on I feel in love with it! You can't beat the price too, only $15.80! I also just adore this floppy hat I got for the summer. I bought it with a pair of tennis shoes during the bogo sale, love their bogo sales! My boyfriend came up with the idea of throwing the hat in the 5th picture, it came out so well.

Also I have never worn a strapless top or dress in my life. I have never found a strapless bra that would support my chest and before my weight loss I never felt "good" in a strapless clothing item. I finally found the strapless bra that works for me! It is the Victoria's Secret PINK multi-way bra. It is amazing everyone. I have a D cup and it supports them really well. It also doesn't squish them as I found with most strapless bras. It gives them lift with cleavage. I just need to go out now and buy one in every color, haha!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

U.S. House Passes Much-Needed Patent Legislation Bill

The USPTO’s chronic backlog problems and painfully slow registration process may soon be remedied. Last week, the House passed a bill that should speed up the patent process by doing two things: 1 – Making the first person to file a patent application the undisputed owner of patent rights, not necessarily the party who invented the idea, and 2 – Allowing all fees collected by the USPTO to be used by the USPTO, instead of being diverted into other agencies.

Previously, if a person could demonstrate in court that he or she was the first person to invent an embodiment of the idea, they owned rights to the patent, even if they hadn’t actually filed a patent application first with the USPTO. This caused heartburn for companies who were being sued by inventors who came out of the woodwork after an application was filed. Although this avenue of litigation was meant to protect the ideas of inventors, and give them appropriate rights, it had the potential to be abused.

As the L.A. Times notes, this is the biggest update to the patent system since 1952. Due to an unusual unified effort by both parties, the bill passed cleanly, with a final vote of 304-117. In March, the Senate passed its version of the bill, with a 95-5 vote.

But not everyone supported the legislation. According to one of the bill’s opponents, Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.), “The bill would permit the Patent and Trademark Office to award a patent to the first person who can win a race to the patent office regardless of who is the actual inventor. That is patently unfair to inventors.”

The bottom line for inventors is that they will need to be sure to file a provisional patent application early on in the invention and marketing process, in order to protect their rights.

Christian Louboutin Fall 2011 Lookbook

I am very impressed with Louboutin's fall 2011 lookbook. It is very artistic, dramatic, dark and quite unique. I have never seen anyone do a lookbook like this. I especially love it because every picture looks like it was painted in the past and uses historical detailing. I really like how all the models in the paintings look relaxed and casual without really noticing that they are holding a pair of shoes or accessory. All these pictures are painted too, making it look vintage and authentic. I really like the feel of the paintings.

Chloe Resort 2012 Collection

This dress is simply amazing! I love how flowy and gorgeous this is. You will definitely draw some attention wearing this.

I am loving the all neutral look with the pop of pink in the handbag.

Another great all pink look with a pop of camel in the jacket. The jacket is gorgeous!

Simply stunning. The shade of green will look great on many skin tones, especially brunettes.

Not a big fan of the shoes but the jacket is great for those rainy days in spring.

I have always wanted a raspberry colored coat! Something about it is chic and classy.

Love how delicate and feminine this dress is.

Free flowing dress, you will twirl with this dress and feel like a goddess.

The shape of this dress is very ladylike and the nude color is simply chic.

This dress would look great on anyone who wants to create curves. The detailing is amazing!

Chole brings back the 70s again for the Resort 2012 collection. Which I am quite happy about. Wide leg pants and maxi dresses were prominent in this collection. As well as jackets and of course their famous shoes and handbags. I am loving all the colors, free flowing fabrics, and patterns in the collection. It is refreshing, chic and gorgeous.

Ed Hardy Clothing is an amazing blend of tattoo art work by the "God Father of Tattoo" Don Ed Hardy. An American tattoo artist who has worked on some of the most famous Hollywood stars. Now teamed up with the Christian Audigier the French Man who put Von Dutch on the World Fashion map. Traditional Wedding Wear

Dayak Tribe

This week's fashion around the world series is on Indonesia. I was blown away with the details and designs featured in Indonesia. Not only the colors and patterns are beautiful but the head wear is just stunning! The attention to detail is simply amazing. They are not afraid of color, sparkle and embellishments, lots of embellishments. Like I said, I am most impressed with the head wear. Especially the one worn in Indonesia fashion week and the traditional wedding. That had to be one grand wedding, it must of been so beautiful!
Islam fashion is becoming popular, as I have read while searching for photos. As you can see above there is Islamic features in the garments. Also I learned that Indonesia is a Muslim-Majority country, with 87 percent people identifying themselves as Muslim. I learned something new today!

This can provide so much inspiration. Next time wear some bright colors, with lots of jewels. Wear some jewels in your hair or a colorful scarf in your hair.

What do you think of fashion in Indonesia?
