Celebrity style round-up: fashion feats and flops of the week - Burlington County Times

Summer movie premieres, in addition to bringing us sheer entertainment in the form of new films for cinephiles to enjoy, also mean one very important thing: red carpets. Some of our favorite (and not so favorite) looks of the week are plucked straight from promotional events for this summer’s biggest blockbusters.

Take a look at some of our best and worst looks of the week:

The Best

Emma Stone

How do we love thee, Emma Stone? Let us count the ways. Emma Stone is basically perfect, and you’d be hard-pressed to disagree. Aside from being a powerhouse actress and truly hilarious comedienne, Stone has one of the most foolproof celeb styles we’ve seen lately. We absolutely adore this white dress she wore to a press junket for "The Amazing Spider Man," especially the embellished collar. The pop of color with her lipstick and teal shoes balance it out perfectly.

Ginnifer Goodwin

Call us crazy, but we actually think this look on “Once Upon a Time” actress Ginnifer Goodwin works. It’s something about the color-blocking, the Peter Pan collar, and the tan belt that seemingly meld together to create a polished look. While we’re not huge fans of the visible shirt underneath, it’s a small detail we’re willing to overlook in favor of the overall vibe of the outfit.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese looked prim and polished at the premiere of the video for Paul McCartney’s song “My Valentine” in this black shift with lace overlay. Aside from perfectly concealing her growing baby bump, the look was simple and demure and appropriate for the night’s event.

The Worst

Dakota Fanning

Oh, girl, no. What is on your head? We actually love the color of Dakota Fanning’s dress, and we think the mustard shoes were an interesting choice. However, we cannot get past the strangeness going on up top. It looks like a fascinator gone awry.

Leelee Sobieski

This one is hard to describe - it looks eerily like Coneheads-meets-Betty Draper-meets-Big Love. So there you go…

Jessica Biel

Newly engaged Jessica Biel usually looks flawless, but this rust top and patterned pants combo simply washes her out. The detailing on the pants kind of cheapens the look instead of enhancing it.
