Nicole Richie will debut her first fragrance.

Taking steps to move ever further into the realms of lifestyle brand, reality star Nicole Richie has revealed details on her debut perfume -- which will hit stores internationally beginning this September.

The reality star turned designer's first eponymous scent features notes ranging from blackberry and orange to sandalwood and patchouli. It is inspired by the layers of scented oils and lotions she recalls her mother wearing when she was growing up.

"I have a very traditional Southern mom -- you never left the house without lotion," Richie told WWD June 21. "It wasn't just a one-dimensional smell -- there were many different layers."

The perfume will be sold across department and specialty stores in the US, while international markets will include the UK and Australia. Prices will begin at $55 for 1.7 oz., and there will also be body lotion and shower gel available.

While she continues to focus on her Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 fashion lines, the celebrity -- who will also launch a capsule clothing collection for department store Macy's this September -- adds that there are plans for further fragrances.

She also cites hair products as an area to focus on "soon," and is keen to branch into homewear such as furnishings and flatware, adding that ultimately "this will be a lifestyle brand."
