April showers bring May flowers, but Jessica Simpson's March baby shower brought out the celebrities en masse.
The singer, 31, shared her special day with a number of bold-faced pals this weekend in a pink-and-yellow spring-themed baby shower, Us magazine reports.
Tube-shaped balloons and spring tulips reportedly dotted the venue, adding to the bright, cheery feel of the occasion.
A source at the fete told the magazine that "it was a kid-friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies."
Among her high-profile mommy friends were sister Ashlee Simpson with son Bronx, 3, and Jessica Alba with baby Haven, 7 months.
Ellen Pompeo was also on the guest list of approximately 50 of the singer's closest friends and family, according to Us.
"Jessica looked pretty and very happy," an eyewitness said of the mommy-to-be.
Guests arrived with gifts, many wrapped in pink, including "several books, stuffed toys and clothes," Us reported.
Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson recently revealed that the "Fashion Star" mentor will be having a little girl, but no due date has been announced.
