This Week in Fashion: Go bold and bright for spring - The Celebrity Cafe.com

Runways revealed the vibrant color palette for spring 2012 and an array of new wearable trends for this season. Vivid citrus in orange and yellow, violet, cobalt, crimson, and emerald are just a few of the hues that are brightening up store windows. Wear them solo, or layer them with new eye-catching patterns, the choices are endless.

Florals are prominent this season and designers are combining color with bold, modern bouquets to make serious statements. Whether it’s an entire blooming outfit, or a modern flowery pair of jeans, pretty petals add femininity and style to any look.

Stripes, a recurrent trend in fashion, are an easy addition that can instantly update any wardrobe. With nautical navy influences, and a mixture of vertical and horizontals, it’s easy to incorporate lines with skirts, bags or bangles. And don’t be afraid to mix them with prints of similar colors like this.

Color blocking, or pairing up to three hues to make one fashionable look, is once again a hot trend for the rising temperatures ahead. From tricolored dresses, to shorts and t-shirts, color blocking works for smart evening attire or casual, daytime wear.

If you’re a girly-girl, then lovely lace is a must-have for spring. Not the soft and subtle form, but a more sizeable version, with the versatile designs ranging from retro to vintage. Choose from blouses and sweaters, to ornamental scarves and skirts. Donning this large-scale, ultra-feminine fabric is proving to be oh so chic.
